Financial support available to help French firms recover
French industry body CTC has outlined three ways in which member companies can receive financial help in their efforts to pick up production and sales again following the restrictions imposed by covid-19.
Fund-matching grants of up to €1,000 are available to help companies equip their workplaces for safe working with masks, hand sanitiser and protective screens.
Secondly, because of the cancellation of many of the events at which manufacturers usually connect with customers and show them new products, CTC will provide up to €4,000 in fund-matching grants to help companies make digital presentations of their collections to share online.
A third way in which CTC will provide funding to aid recovery is by increasing to €15,000 the amount companies can claim to help them pass on artisan leather and leathergoods skills to new generations. Last year, CTC launched a new programme, Cuir & Savoir-Faire, to help companies meet this objective. Initially, it offered funding of up to €7,000 per company but has more-than doubled this to help the recovery.
