Micam organiser prepares Wonderland theme
Italy’s main footwear manufacturers’ association, Assocalzaturifici, is continuing with its preparations for the next edition of the Micam exhibition, the ninetieth in the Milan event’s history.
September 20-23 are the scheduled dates for the show and Assocalzaturifici has said it intends to build on a theme it calls Micam Tales, which it inaugurated at the February 2020 edition.
The first tale the exhibition has chosen to focus on is Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll. Inevitably, this gives us Micam in Wonderland.
Familiar scenes, including the enchanted garden, the tea party and the curious task of painting white roses red, all feature in the theme that Assocalzaturifici has built up for this edition of Micam.
In the coming weeks, the organisation said it would confirm a number of other new initiatives for the September edition, aimed at sustaining the footwear sector. “In these difficult months Assocalzaturifici has never stopped listening to and supporting Italian footwear companies,” it said.
