Ecco praises Stone Island’s dyeing techniques

The two companies have collaborated on a number of new styles, including the Exostrike boot (pictured), which has a Stone Island logo on the heel cap.
The boots are made at Ecco’s factory in Portugal and are then dyed in Italy. The process means no two pairs are the same.
“Stone Island has an undisputed expertise in applying dyeing techniques on finished shoes,” said Liam Maher, creative director at ECCO. “The result is remarkable, and it underlines the unique strength of our collaboration which is a true meeting of like-minded brands.”
Ecco said these kind of collaborations “challenge the entire value chain, starting from new inspiration for the design team to more flexible production processes”.
