Half-year growth for Burberry
Luxury brand Burberry has reported revenues of close to £1.3 billion for the first six months of its current business year, the 26 weeks to September 28, up by 5% compared to the same period a year ago. Operating profit rose by 17% to more than £200 million.

One of the reasons Burberry gave for this growth was that, by the end of the period, new product, designed by Ricardo Tisci, who became the brand’s chief creative officer in March 2018, comprised around 70% of the assortment. This included what the company called “a more comprehensive leathergoods range”.
