Spanish executive Patricia Sancho is reported to have left her position as chief executive of London-based fashion group Temperley to take up the role of deputy chief executive of Tempe, the footwear division of Inditex.

Ms Sancho joined Temperley in 2013 and worked first as its vice-president for global sales before taking up the role of chief executive at the start of 2017. She had previously worked for Burberry, Armani and several other fashion brands. Tempe’s focus on footwear will represent a new direction for her.

Inditex uses Tempe as its in-house shoe division. Based in the footwear hub of Alicante, Tempe designs, sources and distributes more than 90 million pairs of shoes a year for retailers in the Inditex empire, including Zara, Massimo Dutti, Oysho and Stradivarius.
