Turkish leather garment sector targets new export markets

Disappointing export results in traditional markets such as the European Union and the US in recent years have prompted to the Leather Exporters Union, Turkish Leather Industrialists Association and Turkish Leather Foundation to work together to identify alternative markets.
They have decided to target South Korea, Japan and Australia as potential new export destinations for Turkish leather garments. Professional sales teams from Turkey will travel to all three markets in the coming weeks to meet wholesale buyers and show samples of the type of leather garments Turkish manufacturers can produce.
