Animation highlights “wonder” material’s sustainability credentials

The third episode focuses on how the leather industry is working towards reducing chemical, water and energy use, and recycling and reducing waste.
“If leather was discovered today it would be seen as a wonder material, recycling waste into a renewable, durable and readily disposable material, helping to protect the environment,” it said.
Each film is under a minute long and provides a simple, clear message about where leather comes from, how the leather industry uses chemicals and the impact on the environment.
The videos end with the tagline: “Leather: naturals, sustainable, beautiful" and can be found on Leather UK’s website and on YouTube.
