Young entrepreneur’s pain spawned ‘removable heel’ brand
A 23-year-old entrepreneur who was impaled by a friend’s heel has used $1.7 million in funding to design a shoe that converts from heels to flats.

Haley Pavon’s Pashion Footwear uses a patent-pending technology that enables the heel to twist off and be replaced with a flat heel cap.

She launched the company while at university in the US and spent two years working with a team to create prototypes.

She said: "Our company's name was born from our mission to bring practical fashion to ladies of all ages and backgrounds.”

Pashion Footwear is available through its website and at some Hudson's Bay locations in the US.
