Flights sell out as Turkish tanners head to Milan

Flights from Istanbul to Milan sold out in the build-up to the 2019 edition of the Tanning Tech exhibition (Milan, February 20-22) as hundreds of representatives of the Turkish leather industry travelled to Italy for the event.

Tanners, finished product manufacturers and representatives of leather chemical manufacturers all registered to attend Tanning Tech and parallel events Simac and Lineapelle.

Observers of the industry in Turkey said the leather sector there is static at the moment and that industry representatives hope renewing contact with friends and colleagues from other parts of the world may breathe new life into the business.
