Micam organiser bemoans how busy buyers are these days
The February 2019 edition of footwear exhibition Micam attracted 43,000 visitors to Milan, organiser Assocalzaturifici has said, saying this figure is in line with the corresponding event last February.

In comments at the end of the exhibition, Assocal president, Annarita Pilotti, said efforts to promote Micam in Italy are bearing fruit because more visitors came this time from the domestic market and made up for a drop in international visitors.

Within that, visitors from the US were up by 35% compared to this time last year, and there were 38% more from Canada. There was also a 10% increase in visitors from Spain, although numbers from other important European markets, including Germany, France and Russia were substantially lower.

Annarita Pilotti also said Assocal noticed that the way buyers carry out a visit to the exhibition appears to have changed; “they have less and less free time,” she said.
