Italian shoe brands move on to Kazakhstan

Footwear industry body Assocalzaturifici said it expects buyers from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as from the host country, to attend. “The event has always played an important role as a promotional hub for the entire Central Asian market,” Assocal said.
Italian exports to Kazakhstan amounted to 338,000 pairs of shoes in 2017, worth €24.8 million, a 6.9% increase in value compared to 2016. In the first half of 2018, Italy exported 192,000 pairs of shoes to Kazakhstan with a value of €11.4 million.
