CEC congress to focus on digitalisation and sustainability
24/09/2018
CEC had announced earlier in the month that it would take place in Naples, Italy on April 4 and 5.
The press conference in Milan was led by Cleto Sagripanti, president of the CEC. He was accompanied by representatives of the host organisations, the Sistema Moda Napoli Unione Industriali and the Accademia della Moda.
The Italian Minster of Culture, Alberto Bonisoli, and the Councillor of Naples City Council, Enrico Panini, also took part. They both expressed their support for the Italian footwear industry as a contributor to the growth of the national economy.
The focus topic for the 2019 World Footwear Congress will be: ‘Digitalisation for a sustainable footwear industry’. It will feature presentations from international experts on the issues of digitalisation and sustainability, which CEC describes as “two of the most powerful market drivers” in the footwear sector. There will also be visits to local footwear factories.
