Fewer Brazilian shoe brands at IFLS, but higher sales

01/08/2018
Seventeen footwear companies from Brazil took part in the IFLS exhibition in Bogotá in July. This is ten fewer companies than took part in the Colombian event this time last year.

However, the 2018 cohort is likely to have secured sales, at the show and in follow-up conversations, with a value of around $8 million.

In spite of the lower number of participants, an analyst from industry body Abicalçados, Maria Patrícia de Freitas, said the sales generated at IFLS were around 30% higher than a year ago.
