Great expectations for summer collections at Francal

Footwear industry body Abicalçados said in the build-up to the event: “In spite of a turbulent first half of 2018, with sluggish domestic demand, the truckers’ strike and instability in external markets, the hope is that things will take a turn for the better with the start of the second half of the year and the beginning of sales of shoes for the spring-summer season.”
Heitor Klein, president of Abicalçados, said the organisation now believes 70% of Brazilian footwear brands’ sales is of spring-summer shoes.
Around 450 exhibitors are expected to put their latest footwear collections on display at Francal. Among the visitors, organisers say there will be more than 1,000 importers from 50 different countries.
