Customisation project wins footwear entrepreneurship prize

A project for using a digital platform to allow consumers to customise shoes has won an entrepreneurship competition in Brazil.

Organised by industry bodies Abicalçados, Assintecal, CICB and Abrameq, the competition, called FF Enterprise, came to a successful conclusion in mid-June after two intense months, with the customisation project, Freeform, emerging as the winner.

The developers of Freeform, Eduardo Benites Cabral and Luis Augusto Kuwer Bugin, received their award at a ceremony in Novo Hamburgo. Their prize is a four-month business incubation experience at a technical university.
