Experienced figure to lead Lacoste Footwear

The two groups announced in January that they would work together to develop Lacoste’s shoe business. Each has a 50% share in this joint venture, which manages the design, production and manufacturing of Lacoste’s footwear globally.
Mr Georgiades arrives from US group Coach where he was vice president of wholesale partnerships in Europe. He previously worked as managing director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region at Deckers.
Speaking about the new hire, Richard Newcombe, president of Pentland’s footwear division, said: “Gianni has extensive experience in product strategy and business development across various industry sectors and channels. He has an inclusive approach and will be focused on realising the huge potential for Lacoste in the footwear category, whilst building a great team environment.”
