Exhibitor numbers down at Momad Shoes

08/03/2018
Spain’s main footwear exhibition is continuing its struggle to find a settled place in the market. It took place for fifth time under the separate guise of Momad Shoes in Madrid on March 2-4. It previously ran as Modacalzado and then as one part of the larger Momad fashion exhibition before running on its own with different dates.

This time, around 200 exhibitors travelled to Madrid to take part, a substantial decrease on the 520 exhibitors that had their latest collections on show in March 2017. In better news, Spain’s main footwear industry association, FICE, and exhibition organiser Ifema pointed out that visitor numbers looked to have held steady at around 5,000.

However, the event management team has already announced that at the next edition in September Momad Shoes will once again be co-located with Momad.
