India’s leather footwear makers hit by exchange rates

                    The Times of India reported that the sector has been affected by the fall of the pound and the appreciation of the rupee, as well as the lack of material, following recent regulatory restrictions on animal slaughter.
"Players focused on leather products and export markets are likely to face headwinds,” said ICRA vice-president Shubham Jain. "On the other hand, the revenue of those focused on the domestic market is likely to see healthy improvement.”
