Joint efforts will aid sustainability, Assintecal president says

The president of the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (Assintecal), Milton Killing, has said sustainability is on the minds of his member companies more than ever before.

Speaking at a press conference at the Inspiramais exhibition in São Paulo in mid-January, Mr Killing explained that Assintecal has been working for some time with suppliers of leather on this subject and was now “aligned with textile industries too”. He said joint-efforts with other footwear suppliers would strengthen the Brazilian industry’s efforts to become more sustainable.
