Special exhibition at Brazil’s national footwear museum

Brazil’s national footwear museum in Novo Hamburgo is currently running a special exhibition in tribute to the two men who perhaps played the most important roles in setting the institution up 17 years ago.

The special exhibition, which began on October 7 and runs until January 31, pays tribute to Lauro Senger, a famous collector of shoes, and to Gilberto Simon, a Novo Hamburgo-based designer.

Novo Hamburgo’s Feevale university hosts the museum, whose exhibits include footwear from the twelfth century and sandals from Ancient Greece.
