Puma factory workers in Argentina asked to take early holiday

12/10/2016
Puma is the latest footwear company to experience difficult times in Argentina following the new government’s policy of making it easier for retailers to import product.

Workers at the three factories that Puma Argentina runs in the province of La Rioja have been told to take their summer holidays early owing to a slow-down in sales; 900 workers are affected.

The company has been making shoes in Argentina for 36 years and uses mostly locally sourced materials and components.
