‘Eco’ schools to recycle footwear for Shoe Aid

14/09/2016
UK-based footwear charity Shoe Aid has said an environmental group, Keep Britain Tidy, and schoolchildren all over the country are about to give a considerable boost to its efforts.

Almost 18,000 schools across the UK have applied for a new ‘Eco School’ designation and Keep Britain Tidy has convinced them to provide special containers at each place of learning for children to recycle shoes they have grown out of.

Shoe Aid will collect the shoes and distribute them to children in developing countries.
