Converse includes backpack in waterproof capsule collection

For the collection's footwear, Converse is adding materials designed to combat the elements to its classic Chuck Taylor and Jack Purcell designs. It will feature a transparent rubber overlay and water resistant matte rubber upper. It also includes children’s shoes with a sticky upper to repel rain and an inner neoprene bootie for comfort.
Away from its traditional staple of footwear, Converse have designed two ponchos with storm guards behind the zipper and eyelets to allow moisture to escape. Branching into a new market, the collection also features a backpack, targeting the back-to-school market.
