Adidas accuses Skechers of design infringement

Sportswear manufacturer adidas has launched another court case against Skechers, alleging that the footwear brand infringed on another if its designs. Adidas says that its “Springblade” concept has been copied in the design of Skechers’ Mega Flex shoes.

“We will not stand by and allow others to blatantly copy our products and infringe on our valuable intellectual property,” an adidas spokesperson said.

In September 2015, adidas accused Skechers of copying the design for its classic white Stan Smith tennis shoes. Adidas was granted a preliminary injunction in February of this year with a trial scheduled for May 2017.
