Tod’s brings Roger Vivier brand fully on board

26/11/2015
In an unusual transaction announced on Sunday, November 22, high-end footwear group Tod’s has paid €415 million for the Roger Vivier brand name, even though the brand has been owned since 2003 by the Della Valle brothers, Diego and Andrea, who also control Tod’s.

The Della Valles said on making the announcement that they were putting full ownership of the Vivier brand into the hands of the Tod’s group to “remove the uncertainties connected to any licence agreement” and because the deal represents for Tod’s “an important opportunity for growth and development”.
