Deckers clamps down on fake Uggs

Ugg owner Deckers Brands has launched a campaign to help consumers identify counterfeit Uggs that are being sold as genuine.

The Facebook page features videos and photos and alerts consumers them to popular scams. Deckers will also answer questions and offer support with identifying sites as counterfeit or genuine.

To date, the company has removed over 300,000 counterfeit listings on Alibaba's consumer marketplace, Taobao.

Between 2007 and 2015, police seized over 2.5 million counterfeit Ugg products.
