Nike and Bayer in top 100 innovators list
Sportswear brand Nike has been named on the list of the top 100 innovative companies for 2015 in a Thomson Reuters poll.

Nike has been named in the poll in four of the past five years.

Also making the list are chemicals companies DuPont, Bayer and Arkema.

David Brown, a senior vice president of Thomson Reuters, said: “Our methodology is scientifically rooted in patent data and analysis. Looking at metrics involving patent volume, application-to-grant success, globalisation and citation influence, we’ve developed an objective formula that identifies the companies around the world that are discovering new inventions, protecting them from infringers and commercialising them.”
