Portuguese minister pays a visit to Vietnamese trading partners

Portugal’s secretary of state for employment, Octavio Oliveira, paid a visit to the Vietnamese pavillion during a tour of the 2015 Lisbon Fair at the start of July.

In discussion at the event with Vietnam’s trade counsellor, Nguyen Canh Cuong, Mr Oliveira expressed hope that the two countries will intensify cooperation. Trade between Vietnam and Portugal has increased from about $90 million in 2008 to nearly $370 million last year, with footwear one of the main products coming to Portugal from Vietnam.
