German sportswear group adidas has added Boost technology and expanded TPU capsules to its tennis offering.

It describes a new barricade chassis for the midfoot and heel as “revolutionary”, providing stability while offering flexibility and comfort in the forefoot.

Alex Chan, director of Adidas Tennis, said: "The Barricade Boost will introduce new levels of energy return to dynamic tennis movements, giving tennis players the ultimate tool to aid performance. Boost technology redefined the footwear industry in 2014. Now we've decided to put it on the tennis court. This shoe offers the best of both worlds – all the features of the Barricade we know and love, with an added Boost."
