CEC elects Cleto Sagripanti as its new president

Mr Sagripanti is already president of Europe’s largest national footwear association, Assocalzaturifici. He said that during his presidency of CEC, which will last two years, he would focus on encouraging the European Commission to support re-shoring strategies and to promote “market access on a level playing field”. He said he also wanted to help bring about a better regulatory environment for small and medium-sized companies in the footwear sector.
