Footwear manufacturers across China produced almost 3.3 billion pairs of shoes and boots with leather uppers in the first nine months of 2014, according to new figures published by the China Leather Industry Association.

This total represents a year-on-year increase of 2.8% in the the volume of leather footwear produced in China.

With the exception of a dip in July and almost flat figures in September, the monthly figures have been consistently positive.
