US shoe associations lobby in Washington for “sales tax fairness”
Building upon a strategic partnership formed last autumn, the National Shoe Retailers Association (NSRA) and the Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA) joined forces in October 2014 to lobby in Washington DC on behalf of “sales tax fairness” for independent shoe retailers in the US.

NSRA president, Chuck Schuyler, and his FDRA counterpart, Matt Priest, met key members of Congress, in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, to inform them of challenges faced by family-owned footwear retailers and explain why “sales tax fairness for bricks-and-mortar footwear retailers is crucial”.
