Footwear the leading light for Turkish leather sector in first half

Turkey’s leather-sector exports for the first half of 2014 have registered year-on-year growth of  2.8%, reaching $740 million for the six-month period.

Exports of leather footwear contributed more than half of the total value and showed an increase of 16%, with France, Germany, Russia and the Middle East among the biggest markets for Turkish shoes.
