Stonefly co-founder will lend Assocalzaturifici a helping hand
Footwear entrepreneur Adriano Sartor will help the Italian footwear manufacturers association, Assocalzaturifici, prepare for the Micam exhibition while its search for a new managing director continues.

Fabio Aromatici left the position on July 1 to take up a new role with the company that runs the Milan exhibition centre, Fiera Milano. Mr Aromatici has worked at the Italian footwear manufacturers association, formerly called ANCI, for more than six years.

The organisation’s training and special projects manager, Eugenia Girotti, has become interim managing director of Assocalzaturifici while the recruitment process continues.

Assocalzaturifici has decided to appoint Mr Sartor to run its services division on a temporary basis, partly because the timings for Micam are different this year, with the event moving forward in the calendar to run from August 31-September 3.

Adriano Sartor co-founded the Stonefly footwear brand, which has won recognition for incoporating technology from athletic footwear such as gel pads into dress shoes.
