Future Turkish factory a possibility for Ecco

Recent media reports in Turkey have quoted Dieter Kasprzak, chief exceutive of Ecco, as saying the group may consider opening a footwear factory in Turkey in the future.

During a recent visit to the country, Mr Kasprzak said that Ecco will have 15 stores in Turkey within three years, compared to the six it has currently in and around Istanbul.

“Turkey has the potential to consume 150 million pairs of shoes a year,” he said, “and we expect an important share in high-segment market.”
