Hermès corrects calfskin shoe description

19/11/2012
Luxury brand Hermès has launched a new men’s moccasin, called Dan, in black calfskin. Decorative buckles in silver and palladium on the vamp are in the shape of a double letter H.

In initial communications to promote the launch, the company said the upper was made from suede. In the images it supplied, it looked as though this description was incorrect.

In response to a query about it from footwearbiz, Hermès confirmed that the material it has used in the EUR 600-per-pair shoe is calfskin and said it had amended the description on its website.
