Hunter Boot names chief executive

30/10/2012
UK-based footwear company Hunter Boot has appointed a new chief executive as it looks to diversify its offering and increase sales.

James Seuss joins from watch retailer Tourneau, where he was also CEO, and previously worked at leathergoods company Cole Haan and fashion house Stella McCartney.

He said he is looking to expand the rubber boot company in “key cities and cold weather cities”.

Eileen Shields has returned to the brand as vice-president of footwear design to rejuvenate its shoe category.

At the beginning of the month, the company, which also sells a small selection of outerwear, reported sales up 38% for 2011, driven by the boots' increasing popularity in ‘fashion circles’ and with festival goers.
