Pakistan: shoe firms to receive help for Expo Riva Schuh

Pakistan’s Trade Development Authority (TDAP) has announced plans to help footwear manufacturers from across the country take part in the next edition of the Expo Riva Schuh, at Riva del Garda in Italy from January 12-15, 2013.

TDAP described the event as one of the important in the large-scale footwear distribution business, presenting a unique opportunity for a preview of autumn-winter 2013-2014 collections.

An official of the Pakistan Footwear Manufacturers Association (PFMA) told leatherbiz  that last year eight members of the association participated in the event in northern Italy and and booked substantial orders.

TDAP is providing support for the promotion of leather and footwear exports. Pakistan’s exports of footwear fell last financial year by 9.6% to $98.8 million.
