US-based footwear brand Toms Shoes, together with charity World Vision, has announced that it has given away at least one million pairs of new footwear to poor children.

Tom Shoes aims to provide poor children with new shoes to protect their feet and empower them to go to school. Every time the company sells a pair of shoes, another new pair is given away to a child in need.

The partnership with World Vision has been a key element in Toms Shoes reaching its philanthropic mission.
