Blahnik shoes could solve dog problem

Away from the business or the fashion section, the luxury footwear brand was mentioned in the Dear Lucy column, which offers an often-humourous look at the problems people face in the workplace.
Once every two weeks, an anonymous reader sends in the details of a difficulty they are facing in corporate life and the newspaper's management columnist, Lucy Kellaway, gives her opinion and invites other readers to do the same.
On May 25, the column featured the concerns of a designer who was uncomfortable about a colleague's insistence on bringing a large dog to their small office every day and wanted to find a way of banning the animal without causing too much fuss.
A reader suggested that the concerned designer should bring "some of last season's Manolos" to the office and leave them near her desk where they would come under the threat of being chewed up by the dog, a German shepherd. "After a pair or two are consumed, and you compensated," the suggestion continued, "the owner will repatriate the dog and you will have this year's wardrobe funded."
