Hoka reveals new running designs

25/01/2011

France-based running shoe manufacturer, Hoka, has unveiled two new shoes for autumn 2011 named ‘ReRun’ and aimed, according to the brand’s founder, “to allow people to run longer, to run more often, and to run without injury”.

Like the original Hoka One shoes, the new models use significantly more cushioning than standard trail-running shoes along with a wide, stable base profile. The Combo XT is a hybrid running shoe intended for use on roads and dry trails and with a ‘dense, highly cushioned EVA mid-sole’.

The second ReRun shoe is the Bondi B which has a reduced level of cushioning – around 10% less – along with an oversized outsole to ‘improve responsiveness on hard surfaces’ and a more lightly lugged outsole to suit road running.
