Adidas sues Wal-Mart over copying allegations

The application was made in Portland, Oregon, where adidas has its US headquarters. Hearings are set to begin on October 6.

The company recently won a copyright case in Portland against shoe retailer Payless ShoeSource, after it started selling shoes with markings deemed to be similar to the adidas stripes. Adidas was awarded $305 million in damages.
