According to the latest data released by Federal Bureau of Statistics, Pakistan’s shoe industry is performing well as production of both upper and sole leather continues to improve.

Upper leather production increased 1.688 million m² in October last year, 5.37% higher than the 1.602 million m² produced in the same month of 2006; while sole production also improved, rising 11.11% to reach ten tons in the same period.
