The potential for the expansion of leather and footwear manufacturing and consumption in Eastern Europe is not going unnoticed by the sector’s suppliers or by other exporting countries.

Chemical companies such as Lanxess and Rohm and Haas are already expanding their presence in the region and now it seems that Asian producers are looking to secure their piece of the action.
