Pacific Sunwear closes shoe stores

Skate and surf footwear, clothing and accessories company Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. is exploring strategic alternatives for its demo stores and plans to close its One Thousand Steps stores as soon as possible.

The demo and One Thousand Steps stores collectively generated pre-tax operating loss of approximately $21 million during the first three quarters of 2007.
