Bayer posts improved sales

Germany-based chemical and health care company The Bayer Group has reported continued improvement in the second quarter and first half of 2007. Sales grew 22% in the second quarter to reach €8,217 million from €6,736 million and improved 22.4% for the first six months to achieve €16,552 million, up from €13,527 million in the same prior-year period.
