Brown Shoe elects new board member

Ward Klein, CEO of manufacturer of batteries, flashlights, and personal care products Energizer Holdings, Inc., has been elected to the board of directors of US-based Brown Shoe Company, Inc.

Mr Klein currently serves on the boards of directors of several organisations including the National Association of Manufacturers, the St. Louis Regional Commerce and Growth Association, and the United Way of Greater St. Louis. In addition, he has been a member of Civic Progress since 2005 and is vice chairman of Teach for America, St. Louis.
