Mr Chamberlain has served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer since joining the company in November 1999. Prior to this, he was chairman of US footwear company Genesco, Inc.

The Stride Rite Corporation markets high quality adult and children's shoes under brands such as Keds, PRO-Keds, Sperry Top-Sider, Tommy Hilfiger Footwear, Saucony, Robeez, Grasshoppers, Munchkin, and Spot-bilt. It also markets apparel under the Saucony and Hind brand names.
