Chinese shoe manufacturers shift export focus

According to China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), Liaoning Province—the largest shoe production area in Northeast China—exported 36.83 million pairs of domestic brand shoes and 14.48 million pairs of foreign licensed brand footwear in 2006—a slight increase over the 2005 figures.
