Danish footwear manufacturer ECCO is closing its footwear factories in Portugal and Vietnam as part of a global restructuring programme that will affect approximately 2,400 jobs.

The closures involve the factory in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal, where 632 people are employed, and the B?u Bàng facility in Vietnam, which has a workforce of around 1,400-1,600.
